Rodney Craig has 39 years experience mainly with Halcrow, one of the world's leading tunnelling consultants, where he was a Director for 11 years and Head of the Tunnels and Railways Department for 7 years. He was responsible for up to 100 professional and technical staff working on tunnels worldwide. He has worked or advised on many well known international projects including the Melbourne City Link, and the Sydney Airport Rail Link, the Quangzhou metro and a due diligence report on the Shanxi Expressway in China, advice on projects in Hong Kong and in Singapore, the El Salaam Syphon under the Suez Canal in Egypt, the Sao Paulo Metro in Brazil water tunnels in Bogota in Colombia, projects in Canada including a deep uranium mine, the Lisbon Metro in Portugal, the Rome subway in Italy, projects in Spain including feasibility studies for the Gibraltar Strait Crossing, and several projects in Scandinavia including the Great Belt project, feasibility studies for the Ferhmarn Belt between Denmark and Germany and the Malmo City Link in Sweden. In UK he has worked on the Clyde Tunnel, London Underground's Victoria Line, Piccadilly Line Extension to Heathrow and Jubilee Line Extension, the Channel Tunnel Rail Link, the Heathrow Express, the Docklands Extension to Lewisham, the Stanstead Airport Rail Link, underground storage projects and many water and sewer projects. Rodney was the technical expert witness for the Heathrow Express and the Docklands Light Rail Bills in the Houses of Commons and Lords and has been an expert witness in several arbitrations. He has carried out due diligence reports and acted on Panels of Experts.
